Who we are

Pentatope Consulting Limited (company no. 15976066) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. If you have any questions, email joe@pentatope.io.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this site.

Savings Report form

If you ask for a free Savings Report, we collect your name, work email address and company name. We also receive the answers you choose to give about your business: how many staff you have, your rough monthly software spend, the tools you use, what frustrates you about them, and whether anyone on your team is comfortable with tech.

Training booking form

If you ask about AI training, we collect your name, work email address and company name, how many people you'd like trained, how you'd like to learn, which AI tools your team uses and what you'd like them to get better at.

Technical data

Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not currently use analytics or advertising tools, and this site does not set cookies.

Why we use it

We use your details to:

  • prepare your Savings Report or plan your training session, and reply to you;
  • follow up about how we might help your business;
  • keep a record of our conversations with you.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to business enquiries and following up on them. We won't add you to a mailing list or send marketing emails without asking first, and we never sell your data.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our business:

  • Netlify hosts this site and stores form submissions.
  • Proton provides our email, so your messages and form notifications are stored there.

Proton is based in Switzerland, which the UK recognises as giving personal data an adequate level of protection. Netlify is based in the United States. Its data processing agreement covers transfers from the UK under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with the UK International Data Transfer Agreement as a fallback.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and then for as long as the law requires for accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send your data to you or another organisation in a portable format.

To make a request, including asking us to delete your data, emailjoe@pentatope.io. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
